Basketball
Basketball is a great sport overall. Going from one side of the court to the other, seeing which team will prevail in a who-has-the-most-points game. I have a little experience in this sport, being on my school’s basketball team. But just because I made the team doesn’t mean I was any good when it came to the real thing. I practiced for weeks perfecting my jump shot and sharpening my defense, but I would always choke up when the real thing came. None of my points were made from more than 2 feet away from the hoop, and probably more than 20 points past my terrible defense. The basketball team in JR High school next year probably isn’t such a good idea for me.
A great game to watch. The crack of the ball on the bat is such a great sound, and the suspense of the game is just thrilling. My dad is a huge baseball nut, yelling ad cussing when our home team scored, and a really big grouch when they lost. One of my best friends, Saltine (inside joke, don’t want to put his name on the internet without his permission), is probably the best baseball player under 13 years old. He is on a little league team AND a travel ball team, which fills his schedule so much that it’s annoying. The one game that I went to was the day I realized how good he was. The mechanics, his knowledge of the game, and his overall willingness and competitive spirit helped his team out a lot. While I was extremely mad at his coach for pulling him as pitcher when his team was losing (and replaced him with a guy who is totally trash, BTW), I clearly knew that he was super pissed off that his coach did that. Great sport, come to Fremont to see Saltine on the Orioles play a game.

Football
For a small innocent mind like me...FOOTBALL IS THE MOST CONFUSING THING IN THE WORLD!!! While I understand that the oval ball has to get from one end to the other, and the whole thing’s like a big game of capture the flag, the unnecessary rules and the random calls make it was more confusing than it needs to be. The only thing I do at Super Bowl parties is eat the snacks, while hiding in my room playing video games. Sue me.
Soccer
Soccer is complete trash, speaking of men’s soccer. Kick the ball into the other net without the other team doing that more than you. So many possibilities! While women’s soccer does a perfect representation of what soccer can be made into (go watch women’s soccer on YouTube, then men’s. You will be pleasantly suprised), men’s soccer is a whole other story. Men just kick the ball, do unnecessary tricks that always backfire, and, the most annoying thing, pretend to be hurt. Ugh!
Hockey
Easily my favorite sport to watch. Beat the small rubber puck into the other team’s net with a wooden stick, while on skates in an ice rink. Basically soccer on ice, but it easily puts the fun in it. There are much lighter rules, tougher players, and the refs miss every. single. call. I was once looking up hockey memes on Pinterest (because I have no life), and it was about the different punishments of punching a person in the face in several sports. While I can’t recite all from memory, they were all in a 5-20 game suspension range. Hockey was on the very bottom of the picture. This is because, in hockey, the punishment for throwing your gloves on the ground and throwing punches...IS ONLY A 5 MINUTE PENALTY!!! HOCKEY IS AWESOME!!!
Sorry for the length of this post, I just got very into it. But I have people to worry about, and I’m not sure if I have homework. Yikes. Tune in for tomorrow’s post, which will probably be my opinion on Fortnite, but it might change. In a while, crocodiles! Nope, still need a better outtro. Anywho, bye!
Woot woot! Two posts in two days, that's better than I did when I started my blog. In fact.... after posting my first article I took a three day break. so much for consistency!
